Gillies Dissecting Forceps, also known as Gillies forceps or Gillies skin hooks, are often used in plastic and reconstructive surgery, and are perfect for the fine work of microdissection. Gillies forceps have a 1x2 tooth configuration for a secure grip. The tips are narrow, pointed, and serrated, allowing you deeper access into incisions. The serrated and toothed tips, providing a secure grip on delicate tissues without causing excessive trauma or damage. The narrow design of the Gillies forceps tips allow for precise dissection and manipulation of small structures, such as blood vessels, nerves, and delicate skin flaps. Tungsten carbide (TC) is extremely hard and durable, giving you a long-lasting pair of forceps. With a high coefficient of friction, TC forceps offer enhanced gripping ability for a secure hold with minimal friction against tissues.

SuperCut Tungsten Carbide Mayo Scissors, also called Mayo Dissecting Scissors, are surgical scissors made popular by the Mayo Clinic. They have ring handles and long, straight, thick blades with semi-blunt tips that are straight or curved. The surgical scissors are 17 cm (6.75") long. The length of the blade determines the reach of the scissors when you are dissecting. The blades are sturdy for heavy duty work like cutting connective tissues, fascia, and sutures. Mayo Scissors are often used for dissection, where the blunt tips prevent accidental damage to surrounding tissue and may be used to delicately probe. They may also be used for dressing and bandage removal.
